Bassetlaw Sprint Triathlon 17 August 2025
Our annual sprint triathlon consists of a 400m pool swim, 23km bike and a 5km run. Our club organised event is suitable for everyone from complete novices to seasoned triathletes. You don't need any fancy kit or an expensive bike to take part, as long as it is roadworthy and has working brakes, you can ride a bike that has a basket on the front. You don't even have to do it on your own, you can team up with a couple of friends and make a relay team.
Location: Worksop Leisure Centre, Valley Road, S81 7EN
Swim: 16 lengths in Worksop Leisure Centre's 6 lane pool. You will be swimming with people of a similar ability. We start slower swimmers first, with the quickest swimmers starting last.
Bike: 23km around the lanes of North Nottinghamshire & South Yorkshire. Heading north from Worksop through the villages of Carlton & Langold, before making a left turn and heading to Letwell & Gildingwells. Here you will make another left turn to head back towards Carlton, where there is a mandatory foot down point before you make a right turn and head back towards Worksop.
